PROCLAMATION. [heading]

By His Honor Lieutenant Colonel Robert Nicholson, Lieutenant Governor in and over the Colonies of Essequebo, Demerary and Berbice and their Dependencies, &c. &c. &c.
Whereas it appears by recent accounts from the United States of America that the infectious [sic] Fever which lately raged there has entirely ceased, and there being consequently no longer any room to apprehend its being brought to these Colonies by Vessels coming from those parts; I therefore have thought fit by these presents to revoke the Proclamation issued on the 13th of November last relative to the performance of Quarantine by Ships and Vessels arriving from American Ports; all Public Officers under government whom it concerns, being ordered to take Notice thereof accordingly.
Given at Government-House in Demerary, this 20th of December 1803.
Robert Nicholson,
Lieut. Governor.
By Command.
C. T. Tinne, Gov. Secty.
