BEKENDMAAKINGEN, Van de Secretary. [heading]

Alzoo de Wel Edl. Gestr. Heer William Lourens Storm van s Gravesande van voorneemens is met het eerstvertrekend Convooy en J. B. Van Vliet, gevoerd hebbende het Schip Aurora binnen den tyd van 3 a[grave] 4 weeken deze Colonie te verlaaren, zoo wordt zulks hiermede aan elk en een iegelyk bekend gemaakt, ten einde die geenen, welke iets van hun Edl. te pretendeeren hebben of aan hun verschuldigd zyn, hunne pretensien koomen ontvangen of hunne schulden voldoen ter domicilium van den eerstgem op deszelfs Plantagie de Onderneeming in het Canaal No. 1. aan de Westwal dezer Rivier, en van den laastgen. ten huyze van de Heeren Remy & Boter op de Voorgrond van de Pl. Werk en Rust, of wel ter Secretary alhier.
Actum ter Secretary van Rio Demerary, dezen 5 Jan. 1804.

Ten verzoeke van den Heer O. J. Laurin q. q. wordt hiermede het naavolgende, volgens Schri[illegible]yke opgave van zyn Edel van wegens het Secretary gepubliceerd: "Alzoo van wegens den Heer J. Bonjes in de Courant van gepasseerde Saturdag den 24e Decemb. is geplaats[illegible]worden, zekere Advertentie, waarby de voornoemde Heer het Publick in de war tragten te brengen, als of hy nimmer op eene legale wyze, zelf tot dato van dien, eenge kennis zoude hebben bekoomen der Revocatie van de Procuratien door den Wl. [sic] Edl. Heer S. Swen en Vrouwe Elisabeth Lambert de Beaullieux, Wed. wylen den Heer Anthony Brousse op hem en den Heer Everts in vroegere Jaaren gepasseerd, zoo word hiermede door den Her. O. J. Laurin in zyne reeds in de Couranten van den 17 en 24 Decemb. Gea[umlaut]nnonceerde qualiteiten, en om het Publick te desa[illegible]eeren, bekend gemaakt, dat bereids op den 12 Decemb. door C. H. Wessel, adsistent ter Secretary van Rio Essequebo, by behoorlayke in[?]himatte van voorz. revocatie en nader, zoo door voorn. Heer S. Swen, als meergem. Weduwe Brousse op de Hr. Laurin, Robert Ferrier, en Jonas Fileen gepasseerde Volmagt aan voorz. Heer J. Bonjes, met twee daar by gevoegde Missives, 200 van de Heeren O. J. Laurin en R. Ferrier q. q. als van den eerstgem. q. q. a[illegible]een, in date 5 de en 10de Decemb. l: l. en ten voornoemden einde mede strekkende, is kennis gegeven, en daarop ten zelven dage door vorn. Heer J. Bonjes een Schriftelyk antwoord aan vorn. Adsitlent ter hand gesteld, in houdence eene verklaaring van bereidwilligheid, om, wanneer de Procuratien alhier zullen zyn gea[umlaut]pprobeerd, al het geen onder zich is hebbende en aan de Principaale behoorende, tegens het hem competeerende, nis acquiten en descharges over te geeven, van al het welk de origineele bewyzen onder den Heer O. J. Laurin zyn berustende en voor een ider te zien. Moetende dus het gesielde aan de zyde van den Heer J. Bonjes in de Courant van gepasseerde Zaturdag alleen aan gebrek van herinnering wegens het gebeurde worden toegeschreven, en wordt hiernede ver der ten verzoeke als vooren nog gea[umlaut]dverteerd, dat na deze Annonce [sic], welk de Heer O. J. Laurin q. q. heft vermeend zoo vor zich zelven, als tot voorkooming in tyd en wylen van verkeerde illatien en consequentien te moeten plaatzen, alzoo de Heer O. J. Laurin geenizins van voorneemens is, zich verder in de Publicque Nieuwspapieren deswegens uit te laaten en zich desaangaande in een pennestryd te begeeven, maar deze zaak, wat hier ook verder tegen zoude megen worden geadveerteert, houdt voor afgedaan"

PUBLICK AUCTIONS. [heading]

The Commissary of the vendue will Sell on Thursday the 26th Instant, at the Office of the Orphan Chamber, a parcel of Negroes, mostly Wood-cutters, woodcutters tools, a four oar'd Tent Boat, a Punt, nearly 6000 Wallaba Shingles, sundry Medicines, Furniture, clothes, gin in bottles, the Lot No. 81 in Stabroek with a Frame on it, and further what will be offered on the day of Sale.

The Commissary of the Vendue advertise that on Monday the 23d Instant, will be exposed for Sale to the highest Bidders, at the House of Doctr A. Beckerts: - The well situated Lot and Dwelling House, out houses &c. in Stabroek, next to that of Mr. I. P. Smit; House Negroes, a very compleat Washer Woman and Cook, with her two Children, an assortment of Medicines and Medical Instruments, Furniture, a Chaise and Horse, Cows, and a variety of Wines.

ADVERTISEMENTS. [heading]

The Subscriber being under the necessity of making up all his Public Accounts immediately, requests the favor of those to whom he may be indebted to render him their Accounts as soon as possible in order that the same may be Paid. All Public Accounts not given in before the 23d of February next shall be considered as void. Should any Person be indebted to him he begs for immediate Payment.

Mrs. Sarah Mansfield intending for Europe in the Month of April ensuing, the Subscriber requests all those indebted to her to come forward with Payment, on or before the 1st of February next, as all Accounts not Paid by that time, will be Sued for without respect to Persons.

Alle de geenen, die iets te pretendeeren hebben van Mevr. de Wed Cl. Boter of van de Plantagie de Elisabeth, gelieven hunne pretensien op te geenen voor 1 February 1804 ten huyze van den Heer Commandeur in Essequebo G. H. Trotz, alwaar zy het hunne zullen erlangen; En wordt mits dezen bekend gemaakt, dat de Plantagie voornoemd is verkogt en met de Commissariaale vergadering in Rio Essequebo met de maand February zal worden getransporteerd.

The Subscriber has for Sale at his Store in the New Town next to the Union Coffee House. - Beef in barrels and half barrels, pork in ditto, salmon in barrels, ditto in small kegs, mackerel, fish in boxes, butter in kegs, crackers, vinegar in jugs, old hock in cases of 2 dozen, gin in cases, salt in barrels, spermaceti candles, mould ditto, brown soap, castile soap, sweet oil, pickles assorted, loaf sugar, lamp oil in barrels, ditto in jugs, white lead, green, blue, yellow and brown paints, best hyson tea, cotton and coffee bagging onsabrugs, checks, starch and blue, kerseymere assorted, fine jaconet muslin, book muslin, cambrick muslin, linen cambrick, Gents hats, Irish linen, umbrellas, white and yellow nankeen, ginghams, pullicat handkerchiefs, chintzes, fine white jeans, black sattin, black velvet, Dutch pipes and tobacco, scales and weights, brass cocks, window hinges, racks, whip saws and files, hand saws and files, cross-cut saws, hoes and shovels, cutlasses, capital stock Locks, Carpenters adzes, falling Axes, Jewelry, Perfumery, &c. &c.

The Undersigned, informs his Friends and the Public at large that he has lately received from England and for Sale at his House on Werk & Rust; behind that of Charles Vincent Esqr. for Cash on very reasonable Terms, the following Articles, viz: - An assortment of Jewelry consisting of gold broaches, bracelets, rings, ear rings, crosses, lockets, beads, watches, watch chains, watch keys and seals, pins, sleeve buttons, silver thimbles, ditto ink stands &c. also an assortment of Plated Goods consisting of coffee and tea pots, sugar basons [sic] candle sticks, roasters, goblets and quart measures (inside gilt), soup ladels, table spoons, knives and forks, with a good many other Articles. He likewise has for Sale, a superb assortment of Gentlemen, Ladies and Children's Hatts [sic].

For Sale: - A Convenient Dwelling House, situate on the front of Plantation Werk & Rust, and adjoining the Buildings of [?]. N. Boller Esqr. it is known by No. 33, and the Terms will be made easy to an approved Purchaser, by applying to
C. Bourne.
Who requests all those to whom he is Indebted to render in their Accounts for liquidation, consequently, he expects that all those who stand indebted to him, will discharge theirs also, without further trouble.

For Sale or Rent. - A Dwelling House with Negro Houses, Kitchen, Horse Stable &c. all inclosed, and in good order, with a fine Garden consisting of Fruit and other Trees, coming on very pretty; the said House is in front of the Brick Dam, and is very compact for a Family: - Any Person inclinable to Purchase or Rent the same, may know the Terms by applying to

Peter Duncan Walker Cuvelie lately Inhabitant of St. Vincent, now an Inhabitant of Demerary, Executor to the Will of his deceased Brother, John Walcot Cuvelie, requests all the Creditors of his said deceased Brother to bring their Accounts to him, or to Miss Eliza Elliot, who is also appointed Executrix. The Accounts to be delivered at her House in Cumingsburg; and those Indebted to said Estate, are requested to Pay their Accounts that the Executor may be enabled to bring the same to a speedy settlement.

Peter Duncan Walker Cuvelie, Master Mason, begs leave to recommend himself to such Gentlemen as will employ him in Mason's Work. The Workmanship on Plantation Ruby in Essequebo will be a convincing proof of his talents in that business. He makes drogeries for coffee sluises, cisterns, tombs, chimneys and furnaces, he repairs the foundation of cracked Water Works and of Wind Mills.

For Sale: - A Dwelling House 30 feet long by 15 wide, a story and an half, and raised on hard wood pillars 6 feet high, with the corner half of Lot No. 203 below the Canal which front the House of Charles Clifton Esqr. in Cumingsburg, on which said Building stands. Alzoo de Ondergetekende van voorneemens is, om met dit Voorjaar van hier te vertrekken, verzoekt dezelve mits dezen aan een iegelyk hunne pretensien te kommen ontvangen, of aan hen verschuldigd zynde, zulks te koomen voldoen ter zyner Domicilium.
