[right pointing hand icon] For the purpose of making room for the Dispatches from Lord Wellington, we have been under the necessity of omitting several Advertisements, but as they appeared in our last, and shall again in our next, we trust our Friends will excuse it.

The late arrivals, through the kindness of our friends, have placed in our possession, papers to the 30th of May; and from which we have made such extracts as our limits admitted of. The Dispatches from Lord Wellington being particularly interesting, we have given them verbatim.

The Bill for limiting the use of Grain in the Distillery of Spirits, for the purpose of giving Sugar an equal chance of consumption; was lost on the 6th of May, in the British House of Lords, by a majority of 20. We regret that, that Illustrious Body should have thought proper to give the West India Planters so much cause to exclaim "By law, you prevent us from seeking a market abroad; and, by law, you make it impossible for us to enter into a competition in the market at home!"
