ROYAL GAZETTE.

Vlissingen-Academy. [heading]
A. Cart renews his unfeigned acknowledgements to the Parents and Friends of his Pupils, and informs them and the Public, that the Christmas Vacation will begin to-morrow morning, the 25th instant; and the labours of the Academy will recommence on Monday the 9th of next month.
George-Town, 24th December, 1814.

LOCAL. [heading]
A more convincing proof cannot be given, of the complete success of the late measures of Government, respecting the Bush-Negroes, &c. than the following fact: - the number apprehended amounts to FORTY - and the conduct of the slaves in general, during the holidays, never known to be better. These Happy results, likewise, owe much to the policy and humanity, that dictated the Proclamation of the 20th ultimo.
