[No. 867.

[item about Dutch mortgages - rights and privileges about importations and exportation to and from the Netherlands to estates held under Dutch mortgages]

We are this day favoured with a Portsmouth Paper of the 1st of January; - brought by the ship Anne, only twenty-seven days from that port.

The Colony of Surinam, we understand, is at length given over to the Dutch; - His Excellency Governor Bonham having received instructions to that effect, through the medium of Sir James Leith.

The Mail for the Blucher Packet, will be closed on Monday next.

Departed this Life, on Monday last, at Plantation Nog Eens, East Coast, Doctor J. H. Mongston, much regretted by all who had the pleasure of his acquaintance.
