I, the undersigned, I. F. H. Von Schules [sic], burgher and inhabitant of this colony, seeing advertised from the Colonial Secretary's Office, that a transport is to be given by Mr. Martinus Smit, of the Concession or Lot No. 72, &c. &c. &c. to Mr. I. Koozen:
And as I have a claim of a large amount upon the afresaid Mr. Martinus Smit, in his former capacity as First Marshal of the Hon. the Court of Criminal and Civil Justice for this United Colony, for having, on the sixteenth of March, 1810, sold at execution sale, the plantation Fridriva Johanna, cum annexis, situated in Mahaica Creek, the lawful property of the undersigned, without that the intended sale by execution of said plantation Fridriva Johanna, &c. &c. &c. and well especially so as the law directs, has been advertised by the public gazettes in the mother country:
Also, and notwithstanding the most solemn protest here, in this Colony, of the undersigned, in his capacity as lawful proprietor of said plantation Fridriva Johanna, cum annexis, against the execution sale of said plantation, &c. &c. &c.
Therefore, and in consequence of the before-made statement, I. the undersigned, come in, and make opposition against the passing or giving of before-mentioned transport, &c. &c. &c. of Mr. Martinus Smit to Mr. I. Koozen.
Done in Demerary, George-Town, this 26th April, 1817.

PUBLIC VENDUES. [heading]

On Monday, the 28th of April, at the Vendue Office, by order of N. M. Manget and B. Freyhaus, Administrators to the estate of J. Feuillet, deceased -
The Concession No. 32, with the large Frame, &c. erected thereon, and what further may appear.
Also, by order of Francis De Ridder - a piece of land, consisting of 250 acres, say 150 roods facade by 500 in depth, situated on the south side of Canal No. 1, between the land of S. Deeges, Esq. to the east, and Government land to the west. The canal having been made to the landing of Mr. Van den Heuvel, which is opposite, it can with ease be made navigable, so as to enable punts to load firewood.
Also, by order of J. Fox, q.q. the estate of M. Heim - the water-lot, stelling, and platform, 88 feet long by 30 feet broad, more or less, being No. 2, in Werk en Rust district.
Also, a fashionable new barouche, the lightest and most elegant of the kind in the Colony.
Also, by order of C. D. Ridley, Esq. thirty crates of earthen ware, and forty boxes, each containing one set tea China.
Also, to close sales, coats, coatees, and cassimere breeches, negro blue lined and unlined jackets, women's wrappers, blankets, fine Strelitz Oznaburgs, and No. 4 patent bleached canvas.
Also, by order of the Executor of J. S. Smith, dec. three-fourths of a lot of land, in the district of Werk en Rust, formerly No. 4, now No. 28, with the buildings, &c. thereto belonging; and a piece of wood land, on the west side of Demerary river, 100 rood facade, more or less.
Also, by order of Richard Estwick & Co. on closing their concern, six carpenters and wood cutters, punts, coriall, saws, axes, &c.
Also, by order of A. Cart, Esq. - four negro men and two women - William, alias L'Eville, a house servant and grass cutter; Billy, a carpenter; Primo, a grass cutter and a fisherman; Tranquille, a grass cutter; Juliette, a good washerwoman; Minkey, a washer and cook - at three and six months' credit.
Also, by order of his Honor the Fiscal - a negro, Demba, belonging to Roach, out of the Colony Jail, according to the regulations of the Hon. Court of Policy; at six weeks' credit.
Also, by order of H. J. Van der Water, q.q. the estate of P. C. Moll - a negro man named Peter, two watches, and some wearing apparel.
Also, by order of Mr. C. J. Schmidt - a negro man named Alexander, sawyer; Flora, a washerwoman; and a field negro - a 3 and 6 months' credit.
