By Virtue of Authority received from His Honor the President of the Honourable Court of Criminal and Civil Justice of the United Colony of Demerary and Essequebo - the Undersigned, in his capacity as Deputy First Marshal of the said United Colony, will expose for sale, unto the highest bidder, in presence of the Hon. Councillor Commisaries, and their Secretary, at the Court House, in George-Town, on the Eighth day of July next -
In behalf of Elizabeth Harriott, free coloured woman, plaintiff, versus, the free coloured man Thomas Cuvelje, defendant - the Defendant's negro woman Susannah, and her three children.
Whoever shall conceive to have any right, title, or claim, on the above property, and wishing to oppose the sale thereof, let such person or persons address themselves to me in due time, at the Marshall's [sic] Office, stating their reasons of opposition, when I will appoint such person or persons, a day of hearing before the Honourable Court of Justice, for the trial of the same, and those wishful of purchasing, will please attend on the day, and at the place above-stated.
Demerary, the 28th of June, 1817.
