| 11 | It is possible that this marriage, and the one of Charles Wilson and Margaret Berry was a double wedding, and that Charles and Ellen are brother and sister. A search of the Queensland historical births doesn't show them as being born in Queensland. A search of the Queensland shipping records shows a family of Thomas and Jane Wilson arriving on the Light Brigade on 18 May 1863, with children James (8), David (15), Ellen (16), Charles (18), Lizzie (21), Fanny (23) and Samuel (25). This family would fit the hypothesis. | Family: F1168

| 42 | There is ambiguity regarding the name of Hendrik's wife. It is possible that Hendrik Van Cooten married twice. Ida Gorsuch refers to her in one table as a "Madagascian Lady - name unknown. I fancy it was Richardson - (English Father)" In another table she names her as ""Anna ----" of Madagascar" In a letter she refers to her as "his wife Dorothy" Hendrik's will names her as "Dorothea Nicols" The Demerara Royal Gazette of 17-Dec-1846 containing the notice of sale of Vryheid's Lust, also refers to the estate of Anna Van Cooten, who died in or about the month of July 1833 John Van Cooten's death certificate says that his mother was "Dorothee". Ida Gorsuch was possibly the informant. Brief reference in Smith journal on 12-Apr-1817 | Anna or Dorothy Dorotheé, Dorothea
