WHEREAS W. H. Addison stood charged with Forgery, by altering a certain Deed or Instrument, with a fraudulent intent, and of which criminal act, after a public trial before the Honourable Court of Justice of this Colony, he was found guilty, and sentenced to six months' imprisonment, and banishment from these colonies for life:
And whereas, the said W. H. Addison has absconded and fled from Justice; and, as there is reason to believe, that, in defiance and contempt of the Law, he is still remaining at large in the colony, these are therefore to caution all persons against harbouring him, the said W. H. Addison - and the Burgher Officers, Magistrates, and all loyal Subjects, are hereby directed to use their utmost diligence in bringing the said W. H. Addison to Justice.
And we do hereby further, in the name of His Royal Highness the Prince Regent, offer a reward of One Hundred Pounds sterling Money of Great-Britain, to be paid to any person who will apprehend and lodge in the jail of this colony, the said William Henry Addison.

HIS Excellency the Acting-Governor being informed, that several Negroes have lately returned to their duty, and surrendered to their owners, in consequence of the amnesty and pardon promised to those who come in previous to the 20th of October next - it is hereby directed, that a return of such Slaves be sent by name to the Government-Secretary's Office, as also a return of all Absentees, particularly noted those that may be presumed to have united themselves to any of the Bush Camp,

IT is His Excellency the Acting-Governor's desire that all Small Vessels, under fifty tons, taking Plantains and other Ground Provisions, from this Colony, for the use of the Islands now in distress, shall only pay half fees at the different Offices, until further orders.

PLANTAINS to be had at Plantation Versailles, situated in the River, nearly opposite to Plantation Zorg & Hoop, at a reasonable rate, and in any quantity, which are never conveyed through the water, the Estate being furnished with corials to bring them from the walks, in perfect dry condition, and punts to take them along-side shipping.

FOR SALE, [heading]
THE Premises occupied by the Subscribers in America-Street, adjoining the Vendue-Office. The buildings are in good repair, and have every convenience for carrying on an extensive business. Also, a very fast-sailing Schooner, in complete repair, with or without a good Crew; she is well-adapted for the island-trade, being originally intended for it. For further information apply to

J. J. and Co. inform all those indebted to them, either by notes of hand or open accounts, for the last and former years, that they shall be under the necessity of suing all such by the October Courts, if not previously settled. Sept. 17.

THE Treasurer of St. George's Church is sorry to notice that upwards of four hundred guilders remain unpaid of the rents ordered to be collected without delay, at a meeting of the Vestry on the 1st of June, 1811, repeated the 25th of March last; and that he expects, at the Ordinary-Meeting on the 7th of October next, to have final directions to proceed in the collection of these assessments, agreeable to the mode of enforcing payment from defaulters, which received the Honourable Court of Policy's sanction on the 13th of October, 1811, unless payment is made in due time.
George-Town, September 18.

RUNAWAY from the Subscriber, on the 20th of July last, a Negro-Woman, named Jenny Ann. She has been seen on Mr. Grant's Estate, on Leguan-Island. A reward of two Joes will be given to any person who will lodge her in the Barracks, or deliver her to the Undersigned.

FOR SALE, the Cotton-Plantation, called AIRY HALL, situated in Abary, containing 500 acres in good cultivation, and with all necessary buildings. Also a Plantain Lot in Mahaicony Creek, containing 250 acres, more or less. The greater part of the former is planted in cotton, and a considerable proportion of the latter in full-bearing plantains; together with 156 slaves. NOTICE - as the Subscriber intends to quit the colony early in the ensuing spring, he requests all those to whom he is indebted, to apply for payment; and those who are indebted to him to come forward with the same, as no longer indulgence will be given; - as it is his intention to carry on the Baking-business while he remains, and he solicits the favour of his former customers, and the public in general, as he will endeavour to give the usual satisfaction.

ABSCONDED from the Subscriber, Two Negro-Men, grass-cutters; one, a stout fellow, with a lap, named Duncan, purchased at Mr. H. Cantzlaar's Vendue; the other is an old worthless negro, taken in payment from D. Fleishman, who bought him from a Mr. Trotz - had on some old rags, and named Goliet. The usual reward will be given for their apprehension.

Notification. [heading]
Pursuant to an Order of the Honourable Court of Criminal and Civil Justice of these Colonies, are hereby Summoned, all the colonial and other Creditors of the Plantation Eliza, lately the property of Adam Knight, deceased; and likewise all the colonial and other creditors of said Adam Knight, deceased; to give in, on the First and following days of the Court's Session, in the month of December next - their Claims, with the vouchers relating thereto; as the Honourable the Court aforesaid will then finally decide to the prae and concurrence of the same, and decree perpetual silence against the defaulters.

IN pursuance of His Excellency the Acting-Governor's Order, bearing date the 18th of September, 1812, I, the Undersigned Acting Deputy First-Marshal, in the name and behalf of A. Van Der Stok, Attorney of the Executrix of the Estate of J. Van Den Paadevoort, deceased, do, hereby, for the First Time, by Edict, Cite all known and unknown colonial Creditors, as well as others here represented, to appear before the Honourable Court of Criminal and Civil Justice for the United-Colony of Demerary and Essequebo, at their Session to be holden at the Court-House in George-Town, on the 19th day of October next, and following days, in order to render their respective claims in due form: - whereas, after the expiration of the fourth edict, will be proceeded against the non-appearers according to law.

In pursuance of an Extract from the Minutes of the Ordinary Court of Rolls, dated the 24th of August, 1812, I, the undersigned, Acting Deputy First Marshal, in the name and behalf of J. B. Theysse, Curator of the Insolvent Boedel of F. Baar, do hereby for the Fourth Time, by Edict (exsuperabundantie) Summon; all known and unknown Creditors of the said F. Baar, deceased, to appear before the Honourable Court of Criminal and Civil Justice for the United Colony of Demerary and Essequebo, at their Session to be holden at the Court-House in George-Town, on the 19th day of October next, and following days, in order to render as yet their claims in due form: whereas, after the expiration of this last Edict, will be proceeded against the non-appearers, according to law.

Execution-Sale. [heading]
By authority duly obtained from His Excellency the Acting-Governor, I, the undersigned Acting Deputy First Marshal, will expose for sale unto the highest bidder, in presence of the two Counsellors-Commissaries of the Honourable Court of Justice, and their Secretary, at the Court-House, in George-Town, on Tuesday the sixth day of October next ensuing-
1st. In behalf of G. Henschelius versus A. Danjoy, the Half Lot of Land, No. 7, situated in Kingston with all the Buildings thereon - consisting of an old dwelling-house, thirty-three feet long, and twenty-six feet wide, including two open galleries; a new side-building, thirty-two feet long, by fourteen feet wide, serving for a kitchen, with an oven, a store room and negro-house; a horse-stable; and, lastly, a Negro, named Luxembourg. The said premises are at present occupied by the Defendant.
2d. P. C. Mickerts, q.q. Burmeister and Burnett versus John Ashley and the Representatives of the Estate of Eve Ann Jordan, deceased - the Half Lot of Land, No. 29, situated in front of Plantation Vlissingen, (between the house of Mr. Hadfield, and that of John Brown) with the Buildings thereon - consisting of a dwelling-house, about thirty feet long, by twenty feet wide, with a gallery of ten feet; and also some small out-houses of little value - the same sold however, subject to all such right, title, and privileges as are thereto appertaining, and agreeable to the present term of the lease. The said premises were formerly occupied by the Defendant.
3d. Robert Kingston, Deputy-Vendue-Master, versus James Sampson - Two Lots of Land, situated on Werk & Rust, bounding on the south, the premises of Doctor Verwayen, and on the north, those of Major Van Well; and divided by a ten-foot road, leading from the public road to the lot No. 50; measuring 43 feet broad by 90 feet long each, more or less. Also, the Lot No. 20, in said District, with the Buildings thereon - consisting of a dwelling-house, 35 feet long and 26 feet wide, two stories high, on a brick wall of 7 feet; and also two side-buildings.
4th. Thomas Naghten, q.q. H. M'Calmont, & Co. versus the Representative or Representatives of the Estate of G. Crafts, deceased - A Lot of Land, without the buildings thereon, and occupied by Mr. W. Jeffery; situated in Cumingsburg, bounded on the south, by the land of the Hon. T. Naghten.
Any person or persons having right, claim, or interest on the above-named premises and wishes to oppose the sale thereof, let such person or persons address themselves to the Acting Deputy First-Marshal, stating their reasons of opposition in writing, I will appoint him, or them, a day of hearing before the Honourable Court of Justice for the trial of the same; and those inclined to speculate please attend the sale on the day and at the place before-written.

America-Street - Prime mess beef and pork, hams, loaf-sugar, tea, a very handsome set of desert dishes, butter-coolers, decanters, salts, 1/2 and pint double-flint cut goblets, 1/4 and 1/2 pint do. tumblers, do. Madeira and claret glasses, do. wine coolers, square bottles fro liquor cases, vinegar and liquor stands, earthen and tin ware, India goods, very fine linen shirts with ruffles, do. pocket handkerchiefs, Madras do. long lawns, fine twisted furniture chintz, jean, corded dimity, jewellery, gentlemen's, ladies', and children's shoes, door and window hinges, nails, steelyards, frying-pans, fowling-pieces, a neat cabinet and book-case, knife-trays, liquor-case, waiters, Karbet[illegible] or Indian houses, wax, candlesticks, snuffers, iron pots, shoe blacking, cloth and shoe brushes, assorted cotton thread, sewing nankeen and black coloured silk, ladies' umbrellas, a few French and English books, 6 dozen of excellent gin, a few gallons best old rum, bitters, noyeau, &c.
Also a Billiard Table complete, at six months credit, payable in rum or cotton, at cash price.

FOREIGN-INTELLIGENCE. [heading]

BARBADOS. [heading]

Bridge Town, September 8. - The following intelligence of a fleet of fifteen sail of the line (supposed to be French) having been fallen in with, steering its course for America, has been received here via Martinique, on the authority of a vessel which had reached that Island, 26 days from Newfoundland. The account is dated "St. Piere, 29th August." as follows: - "The brig Mariner arrived yesterday, 26 days from Newfoundland, and has brought the news that a brig from Portugal, belonging to St. John's, had arrived at that place, and reported having seen on the 9th July, in Lat. 47. Long. 23. fifteen line of battle ships, two of which were three-deckers, steering W. On this intelligence being known at Newfoundland, the Muros brig of war was dispatched to England on the 25th of that month with information for Government."

His Majesty's Brig Liberty, from Antigua, arrived yesterday.
