BEKENDMAAKINGEN, Van de Secretary. [heading]

Alle die geenen welke iets te pretendeeren van, ofte verschuldigt zyn, aan de Vrye Mulaten Jannette Renk en de Vrye Mulat John Loudex, gelieve daarvan opgaave en betaaling te doen ter hunner Domicilium, alzo dezelve van voorneemes [sic] zyn binnen den tyd van 14 Daagen deeze Colonie te verlaaten.
Actum ter Secretary van Rio Demerary dezen 14 Juny 1805.

PUBLIC AUCTIONS. [heading]

On Tuesday the 25th Instant will be exposed for sale to the highest Bidders, by order of Messrs. H. Tulloh & Co. at their Store in Cumingsburg, the following articles viz: Ginghams, umbrellas, mustard, oznabrug Trowsers, paint brushes, Dutch cheese, Ladies hatts, Negroes ditto, walnuts in barrels, porter in hogsheads and in barrels, olives, mill grease, spanish brown, Madeira wine in hogsheads and quarter casks, spiced salmon in kits, pickled salmon in tierces, split peas in
kegs, candles, currants in jars, tea, ginger bread nuts, provisions, and many other articles.

ADVERTISEMENTS. [heading]

The Subscriber informs the Proprietors and Representatives of Estates of Canal No. 3, Demerary, that the Period of his Superintendence as Joint Commissary of said Canal with F. Martin Esqr. being elapsed, A. Paadevort and Wm. Heathcote Esqrs. have been elected their Successors [sic] in the above capacity by a very considerable majority of votes.

NOTICE. [heading]
All Persons indebted to the Vendue Office, are requested to call and discharge their Accounts due, on or before the 24th Instant; as otherwise the Accounts will be put in the hand of the Attorney at Law of this Office, to enforce Payment by Summary Execution.

NOTICE [heading]
All Persons in the Leases of Lotts in the New-Town, called Bridge Town are thus Publickly informed, that the underwritten having transferred all his right and title to the collection of all the Ground Rents, unto Commissaries elected out of the said district for the above purpose, and Mr. W. Hallstead, John Lanan & Robert Stephenson, having been Elected Commissaries for one Year; all rents now due and to become due during their Administration, are to be Paid to them, either of them, or Persons employed by them, for the purpose and to no other.

William Mackenzie & Co. will expose for Sale, on Wednesday the 19th Instant; - 250 Prime Gold Coast Negroes, the Cargo of the Ship Speedy, Capt. Henry Atkins from Cape Coast.

N.B. The Speedy will take Freight for London by the July Convoy.

Lost, an Acceptance of Kent & Leslie, in favour of the Undersigned Payable in the Month of May 1805, to the amount of Four Hundred and thirteen Guilders, six Stivers, being of no value to any other Person but himself, all necessary precautions having been taken to prevent the Payment of the same: - Any Person finding the said Acceptance and returning it to the Subscriber will be handsomely rewarded.

For Sale: - An exceeding well built and fast sailing Scooner [sic] Boat, Colony built, about 40 feet Keel and is well found and in excellent order, with six Boat Negroes, two of which have been Boat Captains. - Apply to the Printer.

Lost by the Subscribers, on Sunday Evening the 2nd Instant, a fine red Milch Cow, spotted with white and a piece of cordage round her hornes [sic]: - Any Person or Persons who will give information where she can be found, or will deliver her to the Subscribers shall be handsomely rewarded.

Weggeloopen van den Ondergetekende [sic], op den 10 December 1804, Een Negerin genaamd SEMIRA, omtrentig Jaaren oud, is van de Congo Natie, kort en dik van Postuur. Die dezelven te rug brengt by den Ondergetekende [sic] in het Canaal no. 1, of by den Drossart, zal genereuslyk beloond werden.

Runaway from the Subscriber a Negro Woman known by the name of Kitty Price, she is a huxter and of a stout shape, she was seen in the Camp and in Fort William Fredrick [sic] in a few Days ago; If brought home or lodged in the Barracks, the usual reward will be Paid by.

I cannot account for the incorrect form in which my Advertisement appeared in your Paper of yesterday: you will therefore oblige me by inserting in your next gazette an exact Copy of the Inclosed; as being in manner and substance, what I wish to intimate to those Concerned.

NOTICE.
Those Gentlemen who have been hitherto excused from Militia Duty merely from Courtesy, (as having been formerly Officers in the British or Colonial Service;) and in expectation of their forming One or more Troops of Cavalry; it is hoped, will now immediately enroll themselves in Major Blair's Corps; as they cannot be excused any longer from Serving.
Other Gentlemen who have not yet joined the Militia Infantry, and who may prefer to Serve in Major Blair's Cavalry, have his Excellency the Governor's Permission to make their Option. An immediate decision is requisite, as the Militia Regulations shall be justly Enforced.
The Acting Adjutant of Major Blair's Corps, (G. J. Furnace Esq.) will call on gentlemen of the above description, (of whom a list is given:) and request to know which Corps they will join, which he will report to me as soon as possible, that I may do the same to His Excellency the Gevernor [sic].

On inserting the above Letter, we cannot omit observing, that the Advertisement alluded to, was a true Copy of the one handed us.
NOTICE
Those Gentlemen who have already enroll'd themselves in the Corps of Cavalry, are requested to meet at Major Blair's house, on Tuesday next, the 18th Instant, at 12 o'Clock, in Uniform, to Elect Officers for the two Troops.

SUBSCRIPTION CONCERTS [heading]
The Fourth Concert will be Performed on Saturday the 29th Instant, when a new Battle Piece will be given for the full Orchestra, composed by Captain Von Firks: - And several favorite Compositions.

Runaway from the Subscrbr [sic], on last Saturday, a Negro Man named John, of the Congo Nation, speaks pretty good English and is marked in his face with black stripes. - Whoever will lodge the said Negro Man in the Barracks, shall be handsomely rewarded.

Rousselet, Procureur, ommogelyk hebbende kunnende weeder staan de aanhoudende versoeke van zyn Vriend en mede Broeder in de Practyk den Wel Ed: Heer Engel Loncke, dewelke binnen korte na Essequebo gaat vertrekken, en nog veel minder teegenstand kunnende doen teegens de on ophoudelyke argumenten van zyne Vrienden en van de Vrienden van zyn Vriend, om zyn Procuratie ad negotum en ad lires aanteneemen, geeve dhaarvan by deze aan die het mogten aangaan Kennisse af, dat hy de gem: Heer Engel Loncke zyn Saaken zal deregeeven Administreuren Executeuren en in de qualityd als zyne gevolmagtigde alhier zal Ageeren en zyn Persoon representeere, verzoekt de Debeteuren van gem: zyn Constituent voor zyn vertrek na Essequebo met hem te Lequideeren.
