BEKENDMAAKINGEN, Van de Secretary. [heading]

Alzoo den Heer Joseph Leonard Ceurvorst, meerderjaarig Jongman, gebooren te Antwerpen, ter Eenre, EN Mejuffrouw Susanna Catharina Haley minderjaarig Jonge Dochter alhier gebooren, geadsisteerd met haar Moeder Vrouwe de Wed. Pieter Haley, ter andere zyde, van voorneemens zyn met elkander een wettig Huwelyk aan te gaan, zoo als dezelve ook reeds op den 25de July 1804. vo[accent]o[accent]r Heeren Radden Commissarissen uyt den Edele Achtbaare Hove van Crimineele en Civiele Justitie dezer Rivier, in Ondertrouw zyn opgenoomen. zoo word zulks mits deezen aan elk en een iegelyk bekend gemaakt, ten einde die geene welke vermeenen zich teegens dit voorgenoomen Huwelyk te kunnen opponeeren, zulks tyd te doen daar waar en zo het behoord.

Heins van voorneemens is binnen den tyd van 14 dagen van hier te vertrekken, zo wordt zulks mits deezen bekend gemaakt, ten einde die geenen, welke iets van hem te pretendeeren hebben, of aan hem verschuldigd zyn, hunne pretensien koomen ontvangen, of hunne schulden betaalen, ter zyner Domicilium.

Alzoo de Heer Samuel Borland, van voornemens is, binnen den tyd van drie weeken van hier te vertrekken, zo word zulks mits dezen bekend gemaakt, ten einde die geenen, welke iets te pretendeeren hebben, of aan hem verschuldigd zyn, hunnen pretentien xomen ontvangen, of hunnen Schulden betaalen, ter zyner domicilium.

PUBLICK AUCTIONS. [heading]

On Wednesday the 1st of August will be Exposed for Sale to the highest Bidders, at the Vendue Office, by order of Messrs: I. [?]. Schriebvogel and B. Teyssen Executors to the Estate of the late Capt. Lasbergh deced: - Two Negroes, Household Furniture, wearing apparel, silver spoons and forks, gold watches &c.

On Thursday the second day of the next Month will be exposed for Sale to the highest Bidders, by Order of Messrs: William Hallstead & Co. at their Store in Bridge Town; - Beef and pork of the best Quality in whole and half barrels, Fish in hogsheads and boxes, Barbados old Rum in kegs of about ten Gallons each, Tobacco in barrels, split pease in kegs, and sundry Articles of Dry Gods and Ironmongery.

On Friday the 3d of August will be Exposed for sale to the highest Bidders, at the Vendue Office, by Order of Mr. Charles Treadwell, 9000 [symbol] Puncheon, Butt and other iron Hoops, two barrels of damaged Flour, nankeem [sic] &c. The Hoops will be sold in Lotts of about 500 [symbol] each.

On Monday the 6th day of August will be Sold at the Store of Messrs: McInroy, Sandbach, McBean & Co. on the North Dam in Stabroek; - Irish and American beef and pork in whole or half barrels, Irish butter in firkins, soap and candles, a few Pipes of Choice Madeira Wine; a few Hogsheads London porter, a Tick wood Long Boat, Two four pound Cannons, and sundry other Articles.

On Wednesday the 8th of August and following Days, at the Store on the Premises of Mr. H. Beis will be Exposed for Sale to the highest Bidders, by order of Mr. O. J. Laurin, in order to close several Accounts; a large assortment of Dry Goods, consisting of broad cloths and cassimere, silks, cotton and coffee bagging, silver and plated ware, china tea setts, a few pipes of Madeira wine, port wine and claret, porter and ale, glass and earthen ware, Irish beef, pork and tongues, butter, hams, cheese, lard, Florance oil, soap, spermacetie & mould candles, brandy and gin in cases and kegs, salmon and tripe in kegs, mackarel, pickled fish in barrels, tobacco in hogsheads and barrels, tarr, pitch, turpentine and rosin, lamp oil in barrels and jugs &c.

Notice is hereby given, that in the first week of the Month of October next, (the precise day to be fixed) will be Publicly Sold to the highest Bidder, by Decree of the Honble Court of Civil Justice of this River, the Estate Good Success, situated on the West Bank of this River, between Golden Grove & Creagh Estates, holding 250 Acres Land, with all it's [sic] Cultivation in Canes and Plantains, Water Work, Boiling and Curing House, a number of 19 Slaves, and whatever belongs to said Estate, according to a specific inventory to be seen from this day, by applying to the Manager of said Estate.

Lost, on the Road between Mahaicony Creek and Berbice River, a Pocket Book containing two Notes of hand in favor of Messrs. Younghusmand & Co. one of J. Stas' for f 1965. 7. 8. and the other J. McDonald's for f. 2062. 12. 8. - A handsome Reward will be given to any Person who will deliver the same to R. Younghusband & Co. Demerary 27th July 1804.
N. B. Payment of the above Notes are stopped.

Lost on Wednesday Afternoon the 25th Instant, a Red Morocco Pocket Book, containing sundry Papers. Whoever has found the same and will deliver it to the Subscriber shall be Rewarded.

Ingevolge Resolutie, van den Edele Achtbare Hove van Politie, der Colonie Essequebo & Demerary, dat 26 July, 1803, word by deezen, van wegens den Wee[umlaut]dele Gestrenge Heer Charles Vincent, als Ontvanger der Stads Cis, over de Concessie Gelden, van de Hoofdplaats Stabroek. Bekend gemaakt; dar van heden, over een maand, op publicque Vendu zal worden verzogt, voor verscheenen Erspagt:
De halve Concessie Agterdam, No. 68.
De halve Concessie Agterdam, No. 89.
De heele Concessie Agterdam, No. 65.
Allen geleegen binnen Stabroek, ten einde als dan, na betaaling der Schuld en Vendu onkosten, het overige provenu, in de Stadt Cas te worden gedeponeerd. Ad opus sus Habentium.

TO THE WISE AND PRUDENT MAN. [heading]
Any Gentleman that should be inclined to speculate by the particular way in which my Husband J. Stas, offers in the late Gazette of the 7th Inst. the sale of the Plantation Kiuyzenaar, are Informed that she the Subscriber, Lawful Wife to said J. Stas, and United with him in Holy Matrimony, and in Community of Goods, has still her Right and Title in that Property, and that she will not consent to, or sign any Contract or Deed that said J. Stas may make for that purpose, as he has no Authority whatever to sell this Estate, which belongs in common between himself, his Children and his Wife. Ann Stas.

To Sail on or about the 10th August, the fast sailing Schooner Sally, Wm. Morrison Master, having very excellent Accommodations, will take a few Passengers if immediate Application is made to the Master on board, or to Messrs. G. I. Goppy & Co.

A Small Estate in Mahaica, containing 250 Acres Land, East side, being all Empolder'd and partly planted with Plantains and cotton trees, with a comfortable Dwelling House, side building, Negro houses &c. thereon. - A Concession in Town situate near the River, would be acceptable in part Payment. Strayed from the Stable of the Subscriber, a young sorrel Horse, not yet 5 years old, his face and four feet are entirely white; - Whoever will deliver said Horse to the Subscriber shall receive the usual Reward.

FOR SALE. [heading]
Plantation Broom Hall situated in Little Courabana, containing 500 Acres of Land, with 80 or 100 Negroes, as a Purchaser wishes; about 300 Acres planted in Cotton and 60 in Plantains, with excellent Hard Wood Buildings mostly new. Also Lot 28, East side Mahaica Creek, which joins the above Property and will be sold either with or without it, containg [sic] 250 Acres of Land or thereabouts, uncultivated.
2d The Middle one third of Lots No. 17 or 18, situated on the West Sea Coast of Courantine in Berbice, being 110 rood facade or thereabouts, containing 333 1-3 Acres Land in the first Grant with the advantage of a second depth, empolderd a thousand Rood deep and Public Road made through it.
3d. The Eastern one third of said Lots 17 and 18 with Thirty to Forty Seasoned Negroes, as a Purchaser wishes, about 250 Acres Planted in Cotton, and 60 Acres in Plantains, with the same quantity of Land and Advantage of a second depth.
4th. The Western two thirds of Lots 19 and 20, adjoining the above, containing 666 1-3 Acres of Land, with all the Bush cut down, partly cleared away, and about 40 to 50 Acres ready drained for Planting.
5th. Lots 46 and the West half of 47 on the same Coast, containing 750 Acres Land uncultivated, except a Public Road made thro' them.
